The recent Bridge Day festival in West Virginia, held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, drew massive crowds to the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville for the 46th annual celebration. As the largest single-day festival in the state, the event saw the iconic US Route 19 bridge closed to traffic, allowing an estimated 120,000 spectators to walk across and watch as over 300 BASE jumpers took the thrilling 876-foot leap into the Gorge below.
And what’s a good leap off a bridge without some music as the soundtrack. There were shows all across the state and Born & Bred started in Shinnston at their first annual FallFest taking in shows from Maximus and Dalchord on their green space located downtown. The event was a way to draw people downtown to shop the local businesses and bring together the community. Vendors and food trucks lined the area and locals walked the streets as children had a chance to do an early business Trick or Treat.
Maximus gained new fans as he played a mix of originals and covers.

Dalchord traveled down the interstate from Pittsburgh as they capped off a three day run of shows that began at The Purple Fiddle and ended in Shinnston as a two piece that felt like a whole band. Ryan Errickson and Josh Runyon’s vocal and instrumental blend fills space that sounds like a recording when they step on stage.

We then packed up and headed south on 79 to 19 towards Fayetteville where Pants and Alabaster Boxer played sets at Rendezvous River Lodge.
Pants are best described as an alt-rock jam band that knows how to create a party. Their mix of originals and covers had the crowd eating up every note they played. Between the vocals and musicianship, there was a lot to take in with this five-piece local outfit.

Closing out the full day of music was Alabaster Boxer. The folk tinged alt rock group was able to keep the momentum going as they played originals from their catalog including their recent release “Mixtapes To Die To (Side A).”
