Tyler Childers has just released “Oneida,” a long-awaited fan-favorite that has finally received a studio recording. This heartfelt track, dating back to 2016, tells the story of a younger man’s infatuation with an older woman. “Oneida” serves as the latest peek into Childers’ highly anticipated new album, Snipe Hunter, set to drop on July 25th. Produced by Rick Rubin, the 13-track record also features another previously unreleased fan-favorite, “Nose on the Grindstone,” promising a blend of new material and beloved classics.

When you blend the theatrics of a Broadway show with the passion of Springsteen for social justice and add in the music of O’ Brother Where Art Thou you get The Holler Hounds. This band fronted by Jesse Lee Pruitt has become a favorite around the Born & Bred office and we always look forward to what’s next. They just dropped a full length album “There’s A War” which is an apt title for this seven song collection that is full of passion and desire for change. Listen to “Monster/Martyr” below.

Hip Hop artists Stereophonic dropped a single entitled “Take Your Time.” Speaking of time, we feel like we time traveled back to the 90’s listening to this new track. A mix of R&B music with a southern flow, makes this one a track you have to add to the summer picnic playlist. This one could make them an early contender for hip hop artist of the year. Check it out below.

Soda Pop Gypsies released a new single that automatically put us in the mindset of a summer festival listening to The Black Crowes. “Day Drinkin” is a song about … well, day drinking. Which as hot as it’s been lately we fully understand. There are some sexy guitar riffs on this track that will make you do stank face. If you’re not sure what that is, just listen to the song below and when your face starts doing something you don’t normally do, you’ll know what we mean.

Jesse Welles brought a special West Virginian along for a song on his new album and it’s a pairing that we feel was inevitable. Jesse invited Sierra Ferrell along for a duet for the song “Far From Home” from his full length album Pilgrim. Sierra lends her beautiful vocal that matches Welles’ grit to this haunting song about feeling out of place and a longing for home. Listen to it below.
