A Story Told dropped an absolute summer banger with their new song “Almost There.” This Charleston based pop group releases song after song that are worthy of your attention and that remains true with this release that deal with the feelings of betrayal in a relationship. While the subject is heavy, the delivery makes you feel like you’re on the Gravitron at the county fair. Listen below.

A.M. Benson dropped an acoustic demo of his song “Music City Stars.” A demo is always a risky move because it lets people into the raw unaltered version of who you are. It’s like sending a snap without a filter. But, it also allows you to see the beginning workings of something that has a ton of potential and that is true with this single. A finished version of this song is going to have a lot of teeth. Check it out in all of its infancy below.

Metal outfit Byzantine has dropped their full length album “Harbingers.” This hardcore offering is a blend of scream and big theatrical vocals with musical harmonies that leave the ear satisfied at every turn. These guys succeed where a lot in their genre fail, which is to engage the listener with elements that captivate your attention for longer than a minute. Each track is a roller coaster of musical and vocal shifts that will have you banging your head. The talent of this band is off the charts and that’s evident in the song “Harbinger” below.

Truman England Jr. has a vibe that reminds us of a 1990’s alt rock artist. Imagine you’re sitting in a coffee shop listening to a group like Vertical Horizon trying out their songs in front of a crowd for the first time and the crowd all turns to see what’s happening and they walk out as fans of this emerging artist. That’s what it feels like listening to “Stone” from this Barbour County based artist. Listen to it below.
