This week we have packed our socials full of content from The Argument and Last Year’s Model in the lead up to our Born & Bred Concert Series that features the reunion of the aforementioned Argument for their first show in almost twenty years. The Argument are saying goodbye. Well not really, they’re singing “Saying Goodbye” originally performed by one of the greatest musical artists of all time, The Muppets. And don’t for a second think we are saying that in jest. The felt covered foam marionette puppets are hands down one of the most influential and greatest musical artists of the last 60 years. And The Argument absolutely killed it on this cover. The arrangements and massive gang vocals that were submitted by fans for the inclusion at the end of this song are perfect for any fan of The Argument and The Muppets. We hope that’s a huge cross section of people. This song was a standard closer for the band back in their touring days and we are beyond excited to have a recorded version of this to listen to on repeat. Listen to it below.
Last Year’s Model has released their first track since their 2021 “The Neon Lights Collection.” The band tackles the idea of not being stuck in the past to the point of missing your present with the track “Old Days.” The song, produced by guitarist Brandon Wood, is the first collective effort of the four members of LYM in conjunction with newly added synth player, Aaron Griffin. Lead vocalist and lyricist, Brendan Gallagher (full disclosure, also the founder of Born & Bred) describes the song as a Sunday drive down a familiar road with nothing but your thoughts and memories playing through the radio. LYM is rounded out by the rhythm section consisting of Tim Shrout on bass and Zach Kines on drums. Check out the melodic track below.
