It feels like we have been waiting for this for a long time. But you no longer have to wait for it as we have new music from The Farside. This synth pop band is one of our favorite groups making music in West Virginia. This new track “Get2U” will explain why. The pop sensibilities, the musical hooks, the vocal, lyrics, harmonies and whatever else you need to make a good song, they did it. And here’s a spoiler alert: They are the next and final band in Season 1 of Stomping Grounds! We can’t wait to show you what these guys brought to The Born & Bred Studio. Soda Pop Gypsies released two tracks last year that had a folky jam feel to them. Forget what you think you knew about them, with the release of their new song “Wildflower.” Emphasizing the wild part of that title, this new song shows off the heavier side of the band. The track shoots out of the gate with a hooky driving guitar riff and drums to match and it builds from there. All of that lays the groundwork for front-woman, Jaime Kittle to pound out a powerhouse vocal that ties it all together. Listen to their new song below.
