We at Born & Bred are always excited to highlight the new music emanating from our mountains. The last few months have seen an overwhelming number of releases from bands all across the state and it shows no signs of slowing down.
Never Zero, out of southern West Virginia, has released another single that shows off the alt rock chops of the bands members. Happily Evermore sounds like Candlebox, Collective Soul, and Soundgarden got together and created a nineties super track that shows off what made that era great.
This track has pop sensibilities while not sacrificing the grit of the genre. They have consistently shown that you can write music that reminds you of something that has come before, while keeping it fresh and interesting for a new audience.
Of the track, the band said, “Happily Evermore is the fifth single that Never Zero has released in 2024. The song was originally composed by Zach White, who also was behind our previous song, Hear Jack Shout. Zach is also performing lead vocals on Happily Evermore, which has a little bit more of an edge compared to other recent releases.”
