What might be one of the most anticipated 2024 releases from a West Virginia artist has finally made its way into the world. Dalchord has released “Timeless Rambler” an eight track full length that shows off why people are talking about this folk act. The album is full of storytelling that will connect to most West Virginians. Check out Shutdown Coal Town below.
Adam Yokum, who we dubbed the Appalachian Post Malone, last year has released his full lengthy album “Evergreen.” The album features some singles we have covered here over the last year and a slew of new tracks. The music can best be described as folk pop with hip hop sensibilities and it works! Adam has honed his craft and continues to put out songs that show off his abilities to craft songs that are personally emotive but accessible to a wide audience. Listen to Working On Me below.
Horseburner released their full length album “Voice Of Storms” to streaming. If you were able to pre-order the vinyl you’ve been listening for a few days like we have. These guys know how to make metal that will appeal to listeners that don’t usually engage the genre. This nine track album is engaging lyrically, melodically and musically. If you are one to quickly tune out this genre, don’t do it with these guys. Also, if you like prog rock you’re going to like a lot of what these guys do. Check out Hidden Bridges below.

Kelsey Jeffries has released her first single of 2024, Sweet Lovin’. The country tune has some rock and roll to it that shows off the power of Jeffries vocals. The harmonies on the chorus really set off this song. Check it out below.
Singer Songwriter, William Matheny released the single, I Hardly Ever Think About You, his first single since his 2023 full length “That Grand, Old Feeling.” This track is a beautiful stripped down story of someone trying to deny their feelings for and thoughts of a former love when in fact the person is everywhere they turn. Billy Joel would’ve been proud to write this track. Listen below.

Metal outfit Bobaflex has released the song The Womanizer. Bobaflex shows off why they are a mainstay on so many rock festivals across the region and country. This song has everything from double bass to some Queen type harmonies that make this track a musical roller coaster and you better strap in. Listen to it below.
