West Virginia has a lot of opportunities to support original creative music throughout the state. Take the chance to get out of your house and go support live music and venues this weekend.

Clarksburg– The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center – Moxie Events presents The Magic of Motown, a tribute to “Hitsville, USA.” The show’s pitch-perfect harmonies, dynamic choreography, & costuming perfectly capture the sights & sounds of Motown. Enjoy a cast of 15 power-house vocalists backed by a six-piece band featuring songs by The Temptations, The Jackson Five, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, and more this Friday at 7:30 PM.

Morgantown – Tipsy Teeze – Samuel James will be performing with Noah Freeman & the Cherry Dave’s and Ella Wheeler at Tipsy Teeze and Davisson Brothers Music Hall in Morgantown, West Virginia on May 3rd, 2024 at 7:30 PM.

Charleston – The Empty Glass – Blind Terrance Band will perform this Friday at 9:30 PM.

Thomas – The Purple Fiddle – Thursday at 8 Pm The Sweet Lillies are in Thomas to perform. Friday IV and the Strange Band will perform. Saturday go see Mama Said String Band and Sunday June Star will perform.

Dunbar – Live at THE SHOP – Catch SNEEZY live at the Dunbar WV shop on May 4th at 7pm! Joining them are openers Canvases and Viva.

Huntington – The Loud –Khegan McLane will be at The Loud this Friday at 9 PM with support from Jayce Turley and Sam Eplin. Saturday at 9 the Loud has Zay Lukas, Bov, Duke Johnson, Lil Droopy, Icezaya + Fat Shane.

Fayetteville – The Freefolk Brewery – Micah Keselring will perform live at Freefolk at 7 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Morgantown – 123 Pleasant Street – 123 hosts IV & The Strange Band this Saturday at 8 PM. Sunday at 7, check out performers from Willi Carlisle with Justin Golden.

Morgantown – The Encore – This Saturday at 8 PM stop in The Encore to catch a show from Pop Baby.

Kick off the Summer Festival Season this first weekend in May in Albright at 30th annualCheat River Festival. This fest is an initiative of The Friends of the Cheat that aim to keep the cheat a beautiful location in West Virginia. Featuring performances from Chris Jacobs, The Sweet Lillies, Fletcher’s Grove, Dark Moon Hollow and many more. Get tickets at Cheatfest.org.
