Storyteller Khegan McLane, and the godfather of Contemporary Christian Music, Michael W. Smith have both released some new music for your weekend.

Storyteller and Born & Bred Best of 2023 nominee, Khegan McLane released a new song that he says will be the final release before his full lengthy album drops this year. The track entitled Daisy tells the story of black haired love that leaves after catching the storyteller in a lie. The track features Jenee Fleenor on fiddle and Philip Bowen on harmonies.

Grammy Award Winning, Contemporary Christian Pop Artist, Michael W. Smith released the song My Place In The World on his 1990 album, “Go West Young Man.” Thirty four years later the song has received a second life with a new version from CCM mainstay For King + Country. The Australian brother duo, Joel & Luke Smallbone, teamed up with Kenova, West Virginia’s Smitty, for a reimagined version of the song as part of the upcoming soundtrack for the film “Unsung Hero.” Produced by Lionsgate film in conjunction with the Smallbone’s company Kingdom Story Company, “Unsung Hero” is set to release April 26.
