West Virginia has a lot of opportunities to support original creative music throughout the state. Take the chance to get out of your house and go support live music and venues this weekend.

Morgantown – WVU CAC – Mountain Stage with host Kathy Mattea, Vince Herman Band, Roy Book Binder and more will be playing the Creative Arts Center at WVU this Sunday, October 15th at 7 PM.
Spencer – WV Black Walnut Festival – The 69th Annual WV Black Walnut Festival kicks off tonight and runs through the weekend. Featuring music from The Parachute Brigade, Dangerfield, Jeremy Short Band and Zona Hester.
Hinton – Hinton Railroad Days – Hinton Railroad Days starts this Friday, October 13th and runs through Sunday. Featuring musicians Andrew Adkins, Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns, Alabaster Boxer, The Boatmen, Aristotle Jones, The Parachute Brigade and many others.
Charleston – Down & Dirty Music Festival – Happening at GoMart Ballpark this Saturday and Sunday featuring performances from Jameson Rodgers, Restless Road, David Nail, Kate Boytek and others.
Clarksburg – The Robinson Grand – The RG welcomes Gary Puckett and the Union Gap with The Vogues this Sunday, October 15th at 4 PM.
Morgantown – 123 Pleasant Street – This Sunday, the after party for Mountain Stage is at 123 featuring The Carpenter Ants and John Inghram and Friends. 9:30 PM $10
Charleston – The Empty Glass – Disarm the Fallen, Pinky’s Brains, athiotic, Refraction and Executionist perform Saturday at 8 PM.
Thomas – The Purple Fiddle – Toronto’s Enter The Haggis brings their fiddles and bagpipes to Thomas this Saturday at the Fiddle at 8:30 PM. $25
Dunbar – Live at THE SHOP – Friday at The Shop you can catch ILAJIDE with Duck City Music & The Dinosaur Burps at 8 PM.
Morgantown – The Encore – Friday, October 13th, Freight rolls into The Encore with their danceable variety of folk rock at 8 PM.
Huntington – The Loud – Vince Herman with Airshow at The Loud this Saturday, October 14 at 9 PM. Doors at 8.
