Mtn Craft has kicked off their first film festival today at The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. The Mtn Craft Film Festival will run today and all day tomorrow, Saturday, September 30th. The fest features over forty films that were submitted from all across the country including a solid local and Appalachian representation. Tickets can be purchased at the door of the Robinson Grand. The event includes food trucks, vendors, artists and of course the main attraction the collection of short films and four feature length movies.

Mtn Craft is a ten year old visual media company based out of Fairmont. They have worked on a host of videos that you may have seen, including ads for local companies as well as music videos for bands like The Farside.

Ben Berry of Mtn Craft said that the festival is the fruition of a long time dream. After Jason Young of the RG reached out to them to gauge interest the wheels began to be put in motion. “With the facilities they have here we knew we had to try” Using their experience of attending other film festivals they were able to decide what they wanted their fest to look like. Berry said “The staff of the Robinson Grand has been amazing to work with. I don’t think most people know what they have here in Clarksburg. The quality of the screenings that people will be able to experience between the visuals and sound are awesome.”
