SUN MOON APPAREL is a vibrant and inviting experience as soon as you hit the front step. Passing the threshold, you are met with unique, handpicked clothing and artisan products from over 35 artists. Products include tie dye shirts, jewelry, handmade soaps, incense, cannabis products and so much more. Sun Moon is a perfect shopping destination for thrifted fashion, retro vinyls and hand-crafted artisan goods – happily situated in the heart of downtown Bridgeport.

Kait Glaspell is the owner and creator of Sun Moon Apparel. She started at the young age of 17, prompted by a closest clean-out, and it quickly evolved into the inspiring and uplifting shop that it is today. Kait found a passion for sourcing and reselling clothing and began the store’s first iteration as a vendor at Hometown Market in Clarksburg in 2018. In 2019, Kait opened the current location of Sun Moon Apparel.

In March of this year, Sun Moon expanded by adding a whole new room with a new entrance and more artisan vendors than ever. Kait says, “I want customers to come in and feel peace and safety, love and light, and I want to just spread to the community that sustainable living is possible while also supporting dreamers and entrepreneurs.” Kait and her thrifting crew sources clothing each week so there are always new pieces on the racks. She also hosts a Summer of Love event at Sun Moon Apparel which includes vendors, live music and tie dying on the porch. “I’m super happy and content with where Sun Moon is now, but I am always looking to grow with artists, events and more things for the community.”
