In this series, we want to introduce you to West Virginia artists that you probably haven’t heard. Today we present to you the talented Kate Vandee, who released her debut EP in 2022. Her vocal has a flavor similar to Florence and the Machine with lyrics and melodies that blend the weight of life in a clever turn of phrase with a looming sense of hope. Our favorite song off of this EP is Tides. Her vocal expression of unknown heartbreak paired with synth is just perfection.
