Brad Paisley released an amazing duet with Dawes that you’re going to need tissues to listen to. “Raining Inside” deals with feelings of despair and mental anguish that speak to so many people who are dealing with silent struggles no one else knows about.

There’s a drought in California
There’s hard times up ahead
I can fill those reservoirs up
With half of what’s inside my hеad

Chandler Beavers and a mandolin are a combination ordained by God himself. This bluegrass master released a new song called “Hidden Level” that features some great instrumentalist friends of his. Corey Lee McQuade added dobro and made the music video for the track. They were joined by renown keys player, Randy Gilkey and Born & Bred 2024 Producer Of The Year, Robbie Lanham on drums. This jamgrass track is a tutorial in how it’s done when it comes to making music that engages the listener without singing a note. Listen below and check out the awesome animation from Corey Lee!

We were turned onto Louella by our friends at 123 Pleasant St. As a side note, that’s how it’s done. Everyone working together to make original artists in the state known. They’ve released their first single “Pedestrian” and it’s a great introduction to what this band is about. Released on February 17th, “Pedestrian” is garnering this Morgantown based band some deserved attention. Listen to it below.

The Holler Hounds are one of our favorites at what they do. What they do is hard to explain. But they’re great at it. Singer and lyricist Jesse Lee Pritt sounds like a storyteller who crawled out of the swamps of the Bayou and made his way to the Appalachian Mountains and picked up every bit of the culture along the way. His rich vocal is perfect for his brand of music that passionately narrates his visions. And that continues to ring true on their newest release “Children’s Dreams” where Pritt talks about growing up to realize that what we dream of as children doesn’t come to fruition because most of it wasn’t true to begin with. Check it out at the streaming link below.

Pop rocker Stephen Thomas has put out another heart pounding track that shows off his vocal range and knack for crafting pop bangers that make you feel like you could fall in love and fight an army all at the same time. Check out his new song “Breaking Hearts” below.

Daniel Kittle has released an acoustic instrumental under the moniker of his band, Soda Pop Gypsies. This track is a soothing acoustic song layered on top of the sound of a West Virginia stream. Sometimes you don’t have to sing a single word and you can still say a lot. Listen to this new release below.

David Morris has written a track that a lot of people in and out of the state of West Virginia can relate to. “Back Home” is a song that talks about the opioid and addiction crisis that has gripped so much of the country and how sometimes you have to leave to get away and change your life. Listen to the very personal song below.
