These last few days of the year give us two releases from West Virginia musicians. Samuel Mills of the band Space Freq has released a solo album while Better From Here has dropped a single ahead of their full length release.
Listen to all of the amazing West Virginia Music on our Spotify Playlist and Apple Playlist.

Better From Here has put out a new track “Built to Win” to wrap up 2024 that shows off what to expect on their upcoming full length release that drops on January 10th! There is a lot of great imagery in this track that points to a struggling relationship but one of our favorite parts of this song is the gang vocals. Great production and we can’t wait to hear the rest of this next month. Listen to “Built to Win” below.

Samuel Mills has been in the West Virginia music scene as part of the psychedelic funk band Space Freq but he has stepped out on his own to release “Active Ingredients,” a solo project that sees him asking questions about where we are at as a society. We asked him about the project:
“The world is a little crazy right now and we need to focus on the important things, like each other.”
That’s kind of my whole vibe on this album, and why I named it “Active Ingredients”
