Healing Appalachia’s second night was full of energy as the crowd began to fill up the West Virginia State Fairgrounds last Friday in Lewisburg, West Virginia. The evening showcased performances from Nolan Taylor, Oliver Wood Trio, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, and a show stopping performance from My Morning Jacket.
We also want to pause here and say that if you haven’t been to the awesome city of Lewisburg you are missing out on a quintessential West Virginia experience nestled in Greenbrier County. The town is very art centric and has fostered an environment that is very open to all creatives. We are including some pics of our adventures around the city in today’s wrap up. Check out our pictorial review below.

My Morning Jacket puts on a show. To say they are impressive would be an understatement. The band they most closely remind us of would be The Killers as far as the show goes but they are uniquely themselves.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe brought the funk to Healing Appalachia with a non stop high energy show that had the crowd singing along and dancing .

The Oliver Wood Trio brought the blues, funk, jazz, folk, country, alternative and everything else in one set. Oliver Wood, who moonlights in The Wood Brothers brought his solo endeavor to the Healing Appalachia stage.

Nolan Taylor is a man on the rise and if you haven’t seen him lately you have to catch him with a full band. His performance was breathtaking as he belted out some familiar tunes and some lesser known.

The crowd continued to swell as the days rolled into the next.

Lewisburg was an incredible backdrop for Healing Appalachia and the businesses and locals were fantastic hosts. We also met up-and-comer Madison Lee as she worked on her music on the green space in their beautiful downtown. Stay tuned to hear more from the Buckhannon born artist.
